All elementary functions from a single binary operator
Summary
A single binary operator eml(x,y)=exp(x)-ln(y), with the constant 1, suffices to generate the whole standard set of elementary functions. The work also demonstrates gradient-based symbolic regression using EML trees to recover closed-form expressions from data. While theoretical, it has potential implications for AI tooling and automated reasoning, especially in symbolic computation and function discovery.
