Obfuscation (Part III): Local Mixing is a technical exploration of local-mixing obfuscation as a new cryptographic paradigm. The post surveys reversible circuits, gadgetization, mixing, and nonlinear gadget constructions, and discusses defenses against linear and weight-based attacks, as well as random bit-flip attacks, with a view toward provable indistinguishability obfuscation (RIO) and potential public-key crypto from obfuscated circuits.
