Machine Learning
This Substack tutorial reframes the Discrete Fourier Transform as a sequence of matrix multiplications, illustrating how DFT can be computed by hand. It uses signals composed of cosine waves and outlines how to construct a frequency matrix and convert between time and frequency domains, while drawing a parallel to how neural networks perform similar linear-algebraic transformations.
